I'm really going to try and keep this rant short, but no promises.

I have a lot of reasons why I hate Twilight but the idea that it is marketed to impressionable teenage girls and more of less brainwashes them doesn't bode well with me. I mean, Bella is NOT a good role model, has absolutely no goals whatsoever and Twilight more or less gives the impression that women can't do anything by themselves, are completely helpless, and aren't worth anything unless they have a man.

I'm not a hard core feminist that screams whenever a man opens up the door for me or anything but a woman shouldn't be viewed as any less of a person if she don't have a significant other.

Side note to all those fanatic Twilighters out there: my opinions are just as valid as yours and before your blood pressure goes through the roof due to the content of this picture, don't bother commenting on how much it offends you because I really don't care.

I consider myself a feminist (But I also consider myself a masculinist! Which is actually a word, by the way!), and I completely agree with you. In fact, this was one of the biggest reasons why I hate the book, was how Bella acted and how submissive she is to Edward and how she's ok with Edward stalking her and being abusive to her and such.
